This brand originated in 1870 Bohemia, when Adolph Schonbek began a glasswork company and proceeded with the production of full glass chandeliers. The designers two Grandsons, Arnold Schonbek and Henry Blake joined the family venture and eventually took over control of the business. This control and running of the Czechoslovakian factory was unfortunately lost during World War Two. Arnold however eventually managed to re-establish the company in Montreal, Canada before moving to the United States. The company was back on the up.
Henry relocated to London and began his own brand of lighting called Impex Lighting which was born in 1946. Continuing with family employees, during 1967, Henry’s son Michael started working for the business and by 1998 acquired Starlite Chandeliers, making Impex Lighting the famous brand we know and love today. With many challenges faced over the years and much work and effort placed into the company and brand, Impex Lighting has succeeded due to their High Quality products and designs that are simply amazing
